This round brings Sofía’s total funding to USD 37.5 million. The company offers health insurance and telemedicine services to individuals, families and SMEs through a network of 155 hospitals and 1,800 doctors in Mexico. The funds will be used to expand its reach amongst SMEs, develop integrated healthcare solutions and incorporate AI to improve medical and telemedicine services.
Airbag – Automotive Safety – Raised $750k USD in a bridge round, totalling $1.5 million USD

Terradot – Climatech – $58 million Series A funding round

- Description : Terradot, a Brazilian-American climatech start-up, has raised US$58 million in a Series A funding round led by John Doerr of Kleiner Perkins, with participation from Microsoft’s Climate Innovation Fund, Google, the Cisco Foundation, Floodgate, Acre Venture Partners, Gigascale Capital, Valor Capital Group, Ponderosa Ventures, Sheryl Sandberg, Tom Bernthal and George Roberts. The company focuses on removing carbon from the atmosphere by applying silicate rock powder to agricultural soil, a process known as «Enhanced Rock Weathering» (ERW). The funds will be used to fulfil its contracts, acquire new infrastructure and develop new software products.
These fundraising rounds reflect the growing momentum of the start-up ecosystem in Latin America, with a particular focus on health technologies, transport safety and innovative climate solutions.
